We have been renting successfully and happily to Loyola/Stritch Medical students since 1994. All of our homes are furnished with everything you could possibly need to be comfortable and successful during your stay here! We (landlord and family) are conveniently located directly next door to the North of the houses. This is a family environment and we are hands on with the Medical Students we rent to. This may not be the type of environment for some - and we completely understand. We have however hosted over 100 students that have gone on successfully to become physicians - our track record is great!!
2233 was built in 1949. 2253 was built in 1956. Both houses are of all brick construction with thermopane windows thru-out. The houses have forced air central heat and central air-conditioning. The houses have all oak floors with area rugs. Washer and dryers are for tenant use only.

Each bedroom is equipped the same:

- Full size bed (mattress and box spring) with mattress cover

- Nightstand with lamp

- Desk, chair and lamp

- Dresser(s)

- Book shelf

- Ceiling fan

- California Closets organized closet

There are 2 houses on the block that are rented to Loyola medical students - exclusively - and it makes a great atmosphere for meeting students from all different classes and study opportunities abound.
The Village of North Riverside - http://www.northriverside-il.org/ - is directly to the South of the campus. North Riverside is a safe and all American town with every store and restaurant imaginable within a 10-15 minute radius. Students can easily walk to campus but it seems that most prefer to drive. It is a 20 minute walk to class and 10 minute drive even in the most inclement of weather that Chicago has to offer. We have students that ride their bikes to campus as well (no matter what the weather)! There is a garage on site for bicycle storage.
North Riverside was in The Reader's Digest recently and was voted as one of the top 3 places in America to live!
We do have outdoor furniture available , a gas barbecue grill and huge back yards for friends and fun and they have made great meeting places, over the years, for Loyola parties because it is so close to campus.
Downtown Chicago is 30 minutes away by car and the CTA Blue line is 15 minutes away by car. We are in between both International airports Midway airport - 25 minutes and 35 minutes to O'Hare. North Riverside is a great place to live and it is easy to navigate and a great hub for access to the entire city of Chicago!
